I still hate the new colors for Mandarin, but $7.99 can't be beat. I may pick one up to repaint
Well, I was sitting around today being bored, when I was informed that we were out of dog food, and I needed to go get some. I was instructed to go to Meijer and get it, as apparently wal-mart was out of the kind that our dogs eat.
So I gathered up my car keys and ventured forth to Meijer, which I had been to just two days before, and had found no sign of Reborn at all. I checked the toy aisle anyways, thinking perhaps they'd gotten them in since I'd last been, but saw nothing on the pegs. I was about to leave the toy section when I happened to glance up and see a Reborn 2 cyber spawn and a Raven Knight peering down at me from the very top shelf.
I managed to reach the ones at the very front of the shelf by standing on tiptoe, but alas, none of those were Mandy. But I could see several more Reborn 2 figures on the shelf at the back, but they were all turned so that the backs of the clamshells were facing me, and I couldn't tell what was what. I was also too short to reach them. So I tracked down an employee with a ladder, grabbed a Cyber spawn, and pointed to the little picture of Mandarin Spawn on the back. "I'm looking for that one, but I can't reach the ones there in the back".
She looked at the picture, looked at Cyber Spawn, and said "oh..is this more of that Matrix stuff?" (perhaps cyber spawn looks matrix-y? I guess he might kind of look like one of those APU things)
"uhhhh...noooo..this is spawn. it's a different line."
after rummaging around on the top shelf, she found a lone Mandarin spawn, and handed it down to me. whoohoo!
So I got Mandy for the lovely price of $7.99, which is a lot better than Gamestop and Suncoast prices, and slightly better than TRU and KB.
After I got done at Meijer, I decided to check Gamestop as I was in that area anyways..they had one Rasputin hanging on the pegs, so I grabbed him, too.

and because I am easily amused, and have a gutter for a brain, I had to position the rat that's peering upwards underneath rasputin's robe/skirt/whatever.
"hey! check out freakshow here! he's not wearing anything under his man skirt!"
"curse you rats, would you stop hanging around my lab?!?"

ok, ok..I did get them food. though I suspect if I left the clamshells laying around, at least one of the dogs would attempt to eat them.

she kept grabbing every figure except for Mandy. I don't understand why all of the reborn figures were on the very top shelf, out of reach, while they had a shitload of s24 and matrix figures clogging the pegs.
Nice score......... and the Rasputin fig is one of the best in the line.
